Welcome to the Pentamere Pin Challenge AS 43

As of May 3, AS 43 I Baroness Alaina Blackram Pentamere Regional Minister of Arts and Sciences have issued a challenge to the gentles of Pentamere.
Make pins.
What?? you say

I have been doing research and found that anyone can make pins.
They are useful and one of the most overlooked by archaeologists and many who create garb.

In fact during Henry V times and Elizabeth I it was left to the destitute, aged, infirm, and the young.
(Worst Jobs in History - History International)

To what end?
It is my desire to show off the talent in Pentamere at Val Day 2009.  Everyone has a different take on things and it's exciting to see the different results!
This is a regional project to do something cool and period.
For those that don't do metalworking regularly, a chance to try something simple and useful

What does it take?
a pinners bone (though a 2x4 scrap works well)
brass wire
a file
a little time and effort
maybe some soldering if you are inclined

What will I provide.
Links to online information that I've found (though new/different links are always welcome, though don't overwelm please)
brass wire for starting will provide 3/64 and 1/16"
Names and ISBN's of great books I've found

Who is eligible for materials
Anyone can use the links and the book names
You must live in Pentamere to get supplies
